Photo of the Day: Micha with His Broken Hand in a Cast
Thursday, August 30th, 2007Micha, apart from being a good-looking dude and a fun model to work with, is also one of the most laid back people I know. So it came as a total surprise one day when he got so angry that he slammed his fist into the wall. Unfortunately he chose a reinforced section of the wall that didn’t give way, and he broke some bones in his hand.
Here he is in a black-and-white studio photography shot in Barcelona, shortly before he went back to his native Amsterdam to work in that television studio that brought the world the reality TV program about people looking for organ donors.
Photo of the Day: Boys Hanging Out at the Beach
Wednesday, August 29th, 2007I think these were French kids on vacation in Spain at L’Escala, one of those summer-house towns on the Costa Brava in between Barcelona and the French border. Tourists from France were there en masse on holiday, and though we couldn’t find a supermarket anywhere near the center, there was at least one real estate agency on every corner.
This photo was taken in the afternoon (hence the hard shadows) on the boardwalk of Riells Beach.
Apparently I have the best photography on the web
Wednesday, August 29th, 2007I’ve become interested in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) in the past few months, but some things still baffle me. Why, for example, when I browse through my website traffic statistics to search for keywords that Google has used to bring people do my website, am I only finding spookiness like “seafood,” “boobs,” “cash,” “Hyandai” (huh)? Where are all the customers looking for photos and web design?
Today, though, someone made my day.
Google awards the prize for the Hottest Photography on the Web to …
Take a gander at it now, kiddies. Who knows when Google will dance again and boot me far away into the ether!
Filed under: cash, boobs, seafood, Hyandai.
Photo of the Day: Girl on the Beach in L’Escala
Tuesday, August 28th, 2007I was walking in the paths that run behind the beach in L’Escala taking landscape photos of the weird pine trees they have there when this girl crossed my path in a hurry to get suntan lotion to her poor mother roasting on the beach. Having trained as a street photographer in Barcelona, I focused my camera with a gunslinger’s speed and caught this surreal shot.
Note the girl doing a handstand in the background.
