Photo of the Day: Pont des Arts, Paris

Thursday, September 20th, 2007

Pont des Arts in Paris, leading into the Louvre’s Cour Carré.

Daylight + f3.2 + 1/160 sec + ISO 400 = WAY overexposed.

But along with the low contrast, it’s got a lead pencil look to it that I like.

Photo of the Day: Scary Sagrada Familia Cathedral

Sunday, September 2nd, 2007

I was walking home on a very cloudy night, and the spotlights from the Sagrada Familia were reflected off the clouds above. Overall, the spookiness of it all kinda scared the muffins out of me. Fortunately I had the crap-o-matic pocket camera with me to preserve the moment in digital grain posterity.

Part II of my photojournalism oeuvre that proves that the Sagrada Familia is HAUNTED.

Just look — why are the lights in the right-hand towers on?!! Don’t tell me they’ve found some way to lift money off of tourists at night as well, because everyone knows that the Sagrada Familia is a church, not a business venture.

Photo of the Day: Flowers on the Bushes by Sagrada Familia Cathedral in Barcelona

I’m a people photographer more than anything else, and macro photography of plants and bugs and stuff has never really caught my attention. But I’ll try anything once.
