I’ve become interested in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) in the past few months, but some things still baffle me. Why, for example, when I browse through my website traffic statistics to search for keywords that Google has used to bring people do my website, am I only finding spookiness like “seafood,” “boobs,” “cash,” “Hyandai” (huh)? Where are all the customers looking for photos and web design?

Today, though, someone made my day.

I noticed that Firefox seemed to be muting some of my colors.  Pink lips became a tuberculosis bluish gray.  At first I tried “supersaturating” the colors so that they would display correctly in the browser, but that meant that the downloaded photo would display incorrectly on a normal photo viewer.  I poked around a bit and found a thread here which addressed the problem. In essence, you have to convert the photo to the following color profile in Photoshop:

Edit > Convert to Profile
Profile: Working RGB -sRGB IEC61966-2.1
Engine: Adobe (ACE)
Intent: Perceptual
